Civility Statement
Mihraab’s Futuwwah Initiative places great emphasis on inculcating the civilizational code and values brought to the benefit of all humanity via the prophethood of Muhammad ﷺ. Civility is to be polite, considerate, tactful, well-mannered, gracious, courteous and modest. These qualities, and the etiquette and behavior that underlies them, are collectively said to constitute adab in the Islamic tradition.
Mihraab Foundation expects all its members to adhere to the principles of civility/adab that have been adopted by the program. Individuals found to be behaving in violation of this code of conduct may be liable to disciplinary action and ultimately dismissal from the program.
Mihraab Foundation does not discriminate based on race, color, gender, age, marital status, religion, national origin, or physical disability. All faculty, staff and students are required to abide and maintain proper Islamic ethics, values, and etiquettes. Participants found to be openly acting against Islamic values/ethics within or outside the institution (publicly, in-person or via social media platforms) may be subject to termination from the institution solely based on Mihraab Foundation’s discretion.
I understand that participation in Mihraab activities involves the risk of personal injury, including death, due to the physical, mental, and emotional challenges in the activities offered. Information about those activities may be obtained from the leadership. I also understand that participation in these activities is entirely voluntary and requires participants to follow instructions and abide by all applicable rules and the standards of conduct.
