Futuwwah Majlis - Changing Brakes
We will be live demonstrating a front brake change with tools you can find/keep at home. Attendees will assist and gain hands-on experience in the process. Location TBA.
Futuwwah Majlis - Oil Change
Join us for our meeting at location TBA. We will be doing a live oil change, with hands-on participation from everyone.
Futuwwah Majlis - Electrical System
Join us for our meeting at location TBA. We will be teaching attendees about the electrical system and demonstrating how to remove, clean, and replace a battery as well as testing battery health. Location TBA.
Futuwwah Majlis - Tires
We will be introducing the topic of automotive literacy and maintenance, and then attendees will engage in a hands-on demonstration changing a tire and applying chains for weather. Location TBA.
Futuwwah Majlis - Food, First Aid, and Outdoor Ethics
Join us for our meeting outside in the beautiful Bellevue Botanical Garden. We will be meeting at the entrance, then taking a short walk to one of the multi-use spaces within the garden. This week we will learn how to treat common injuries incurred while hiking, and what to do in an emergency.

Futuwwah Hike: Iron Horse Tunnel
Join us exploring the Iron Horse Tunnel as part of the Palouse to Cascades trail. This is a 5.3 mile round trip in a former train tunnel - flashlights or headlamps required!
Futuwwah Majlis - Hiking 101

This week we will introduce the essentials of hiking, including using a compass and the particulars of different types of hiking.

Join us for a moderately-challenging excursion to Heather Lake on the Mountain Loop Highway, Sunday, August 17th 2025.
Meet up at Masjid Umar al-Farooq at 7:30am, return anticipated by 2pm, insha’ Allah.
Please review the provided outdoors guide and ensure each youth comes with their permission slip, 1.5L of water, and appropriate clothing, pack and footgear.
